Engine Builders and Racers looking for a positive change…

United Auto Racing Alliance (U.A.R.A.) announced today, that they will forming a seal program for crate engine rebuilders and super late model builders. All engines moving forward will have serious repercussions for all infractions.

This program will cover both crate and super late model engines.

Engine builders will need to apply to be included in this program and a hard deadline for engines to have these seals will be announced at a later date. The Rebuilders Application can now be found at uararacing.com. Any competitor wanting to rebuild their own engine may contact U.A.R.A. about the process of them having their engine inspected and sealed by U.A.R.A.

Key officials representing major organizations and tracks involved with crates and Pavement Late Model Racing are utilizing U.A.R.A. (United Auto Racing Alliance) to oversee, organize and implement a certified and approved rebuilders list for pavement racers using crate engines for much of North America.

U.A.R.A. is a sanctioning body and will oversee engines used in Super Late Model, and Pro Late Model racing, which has led to consistency and substantial cost savings for the racers. Racing officials from coast-to-coast made up the organization initially, and a similar group has moved forward with the effort to unify and nationally recognize a group of certified rebuilders for pavement racing.

U.A.R.A. also oversees the sale and distribution of the approved seals along with managing the database built with the information from the sealing process and assist in providing information for technical inspectors throughout North America. Currently, most organizations involved in this type of racing are using engine packages commonly referred to as the GM 602, GM 604, Ford Blue Oval, Parts Pro, McGunegill MEP 425, SSPE, and Sealed Super Engines.

An important aspect of this program is the understanding that many other organizations have expressed interest in using this list of builders for their own organizations and tracks. Building a National program is paramount in regard to success for the tracks and the racers while maintaining a network that assists one another in maintaining the established rules package.

The U.A.R.A. has stipulated that the revenues generated by this sealing program will be used for the exclusive purposes of administering the program, for research and development and the traveling to do so, along with more post event testing, and to generate tech training information with additional training for tech personnel. Most importantly, U.A.R.A. would like to point out that no profit from this program will be taken by the organizers.
